FOA Command Center

Privacy Policy

Effective September 19, 2026

Financial Order Academy (“FOA,” “we,” “us”) provides the FOA Command Center (the “app”). This policy explains what information the app collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Our website, financialorderacademy.com, has its own privacy policy for the site and our marketing messages.

Information we collect

Your account. Your name and email address. You sign in with a link we email you or, if you’ve set one, a password. Passwords are stored only in hashed form by our sign-in provider, so no one at FOA can read them. If you bought the Million Dollar Redirect, our checkout system tells the app the email address you purchased with so you can sign in.

Financial information you share with us. Depending on how you use the app:

  • Your Tiller spreadsheet. If you’re a coaching client who keeps a Tiller spreadsheet, the app reads the Google Sheet you share with us: transactions, balances, categories and budget targets. Our access is read-only. We never change your spreadsheet.
  • Bank and credit card accounts you connect. If you connect accounts through Plaid, we receive transactions (dates, amounts, merchant names and descriptions), balances, account names and types, and the last few digits of account numbers. We never receive your bank username or password.
  • Files you upload. If you use the Million Dollar Redirect, the app stores the transaction files you upload and the transactions in them.

Information you enter. Your income, account balances, debts, savings goals, household and tax details, spending targets, categories and rules, and anything else you type into the app.

Technical information. Our hosting providers record basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and when you sign in, to keep the app secure and working.

Cookies. The app uses only the cookies it needs to keep you signed in. It does not use advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use your information

  • To run the app for you: to categorize your transactions, measure your spending against the plan you set, calculate your savings, giving and debt measures, and produce your dashboards, reports and baselines.
  • To support your coaching. If you work with an FOA coach, they can view your information in the app, read-only, to help you.
  • For AI features. Some features use artificial intelligence, provided by Anthropic, to suggest categories for transactions, write summaries of your numbers, and answer questions you ask about them. Anthropic processes this information only to return results to us and, under its commercial terms, does not use it to train its models.
  • To send you sign-in links and messages about your account and the service.
  • To keep the app secure, fix problems, and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Connecting accounts through Plaid

We use Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to connect your bank and credit card accounts. You choose which accounts to connect, and you sign in to your bank through Plaid or directly with your bank, never through FOA.

By connecting an account, you authorize FOA and Plaid to access and transmit your financial information from your financial institution on your behalf, and you agree to Plaid collecting, storing and processing that information in accordance with the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

You can disconnect an account at any time in the app.

Who we share your information with

We share information only as described here:

  • Service providers that run the app for us, and only as much as their part requires:
    • Plaid — connecting bank and credit card accounts
    • Supabase — our database and sign-in
    • Vercel — hosting the app
    • Anthropic — the AI features described above
    • Google — reading coaching clients’ Tiller spreadsheets (read-only), and our email
    • Resend — sending sign-in links and service emails
  • Your FOA coach, read-only, to support you.
  • When the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of our clients, FOA or others.
  • If FOA’s business is sold or merged, the new owner, who must keep protecting your information under this policy.
  • Anyone else, only with your permission.

How we protect your information

Your information is encrypted in transit and at rest. The access keys Plaid issues for your connected accounts are encrypted again by the app before they’re stored. The database itself ensures you can see only your own information, and our staff access it only when needed to support you.

How long we keep it

  • We keep your information while you’re a member.
  • When you disconnect a bank account, we revoke our access through Plaid and delete that account’s data right away.
  • If you cancel, we disconnect your accounts and delete your bank data within 30 days.
  • Coaching clients can end our access to their spreadsheet at any time by un-sharing it with us.
  • You can ask us to delete your account and all of your information at any time. We’ll do it within 30 days, except for anything the law requires us to keep.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us for a copy of your information, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it by emailing privacy@financialorderacademy.com. We’ll respond within 30 days. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under the law, and we’ll honor them.

Children

The app is for adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we’ll tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect.
